Warranty Overview

GMD Surfaces provides a one-year Limited Warranty covering fabrication and installation defects for countertops installed by GMD Surfaces. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and installation site.

What’s Covered

Seam separation not caused by structural movement.

Fabrication or installation defects, including improper leveling or adhesion.

Cracks or breakage caused solely by fabrication/installation error under normal residential use.

Exclusions

This warranty does not cover damage caused by:

Misuse, negligence, harsh chemicals, or failure to follow care guidelines.

Structural settling, cabinet/appliance movement, or environmental exposure.

Heat damage from placing hot cookware or appliances directly on surfaces.

Third-party alterations, modifications, cutouts, or repairs

Impact damage, excessive weight, standing/sitting on countertops.

Staining from food, oils, dyes, chemicals, or long-term exposure.

Natural stone variations, fissures, pitting, or texture differences.

Outdoor installation issues such as freeze/thaw damage or shifting foundations.

Limitations

Warranty is limited to repair of the affected area at GMD’s discretion. If replacement is warranted, then it applies to the affected are ONLY.
Warranty does not cover plumbing, electrical, tile, cabinetry, living expenses, or incidental damages.

Transferability

Warranty is valid only for the original purchaser and cannot be transferred.

How to File a Claim

Notify GMD Surfaces in writing within 48 hours of discovering an issue.

Provide proof of purchase and installation date.

Submit photos and complete the Warranty Claim Form on the GMD Surfaces website.

Allow inspection access to GMD Surfaces staff.
